Macclesfield Chess Club

Club night every Tuesday from September to May 
Start time 7:30 pm.
 

Venue
New Liberal Club ( Second Floor). 
The New Liberal Club is in Boden Street, the first left off Waters Green (ignoring the garage entry) and the club is on the right, next to the well illuminated Samaritans. Parking is free after 7pm and is available in front of the railway station as well as in the Green. There is no parking in Boden Street itself.

 
New players (beginners or experienced) are always welcome for casual games, club tournaments or league chess. 
For the first few evenings prospective new members do not have to join the club.

New information

The Club Championship was a close fought contest won by Tony Soames after a win and a loss against Dave Risley in the full length games and a win and a draw in the twenty minute games.

The Pomeroy Cup was won by Dave Mallinson in his first season, defeating seasoned campaigner Anthony Brough with one win and a draw.

Macclesfield A win Division 2 crown in Stockport League and Macclesfield B win Division 4.
Tony Soames and Dave Risley contest the final of the Club Championship.
